Here's a visual graphic that destroys the myth that there was once a pure kind of feminism that we can restore. These first wave feminists were hell-bent on eliminating Christianity while promoting leftist values. #feminism
This week there was great controversy over pushback that a Reformed pastor received for sending his daughter into the Marines. He was rightly chastised for sending a woman into a vocation of soldiering—a task that Biblically, historically, and culturally has been for men.
I was a bit shocked, though I shouldn’t be I suppose, that this was actually a thing in “conservative” circles. Growing up, it was a basic fact that the differences between men and women precluded women engagement in something like the military. That’s a standard conservative Christian, and deeply Western and American teaching.
But as a reminder of how far we’ve fallen, I was reminded of an essay I wrote in high school about how women’s soccer in Europe was outlawed. Women were not allowed to play many team sports. Why? Sports themselves were rooted in the training that men needed for constant preparation for war. Sports were physical, brash, competitive, muscular, heroic, brutal… masculine. They entailed blood, bruises, broken body parts, cuts, scrapes, injuries, ligament swelling, and on and on.
Sports were “mannish” activities, unbecoming of the female sex. Soccer was physical, full of contact and aggression, rough, physically competitive. These are features of masculinity. The “female grace” (as the laws put it) would be undermined by the participation in “mannish” behavior. The female archetype would be mocked and distorted, and the difference between the sexes would be subverted.
To be properly feminine was the social ideal of the woman in the civil order; and sports were a revolt against this ideal: the indecency of the dress needed, and the bodily movements required, would serve to undermine the purpose of the feminine in society. To expect of the woman to behave like a man was to ask of her to participate in a certain level of barbarity, which would compromise the integrity of both the woman behaving as such and the men who would watch her.
In the Germany 1955 ban, this was the language used: “in the fight for the ball, female grace disappears… and the public parading of the body is offensive and indecent.”
There were also concerns about how women would get distracted from their social function as being wives and mothers and reproducing their race (a crucial concern after WW1 and WWII).
I could go on. It’s an interesting topic. But the point is this: the opponents of women in the military are entirely correct and have history and heritage on their side. Those seeking to blur the lines on the sexes are the Jacobins, the innovators, the hyper-moderns. The “complementarians” are egalitarians driving the speed limit.
Young evangelical men are sprinting to Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy to escape evangelical youth group culture. This is driving them out! They are trading sentimentalism/emotionalism for tradition, history, doctrine, and high liturgical practices.
🚨 VIDEO: Texas state Rep. James Talarico opened a legislative session with a heretic prayer, invoked old Communist-adjacent phrase
h/t @reddit_lies who spotted it on Reddit; I tracked down the original video.
The prayer addresses God as "holy mystery" with "so many names" — Torah, Quran, Gita, Dharma — treating all religious traditions as equally valid expressions of the same God.
Jesus is described as "a barefoot rabbi" who "expressed" God's love... one expression among many implied.
The closing line: "build a new world in the shell of the old."
That phrase has a specific origin. It comes from the IWW (Industrial Workers of the World) Preamble, written in 1905. It's syndicalist labor movement language. Not explicitly Communist - but they wanted to abolish capitalism and the state all the same.
See it for yourself:
Since I’m going to be hearing this for the next 6 months as a Texas voter, let me answer the question:
“You would vote for an adulterer over James Talarico? That’s not very Christian.”
Here’s the truth: I would rather vote for almost anyone else who is going to at least advocate for conservative *policies* over a literal heretic who wears my faith like a skin suit, advocates for policies that harm children, endorses immorality and generally harm society.
Ken Paxton has personal baggage. I don’t deny that. But Talarico has plenty too — and he openly mocks God’s law and treats Jesus as a political mascot all while pushing a radical far-left agenda that would be a disaster for my state.
You see, I’m an adult. I do not expect those who are seeking political office to be my moral superiors or even trustworthy. They are tools to be used to do the least amount of damage via policy.
I wish more pastors and men who live godly lives were running. I really do. But the options we get are what they are.
Paxton supports secure borders, law enforcement, lower taxes, unleashing American energy, the Second Amendment, just to name a few.
Talarico supports unlimited abortion, trans-ing children, higher taxes, government-run “healthcare,” and is incredibly comfortable blaspheming the word of God.
I’m not voting for a priest. I’m voting for an imperfect person to represent my interests. That’s how it works.
You’re not going to guilt trip Texans into supporting a looney tunes candidate like Talarico. Paxton will win by 5+.
It’s about policy, not personality.
‘Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people who he hath chosen for his own inheritance.’ —Psalm 33:12
May God continue to shed his grace on our great nation.
Feminism and egalitarianism are attempts to codify and normalize the fallen order, in rebellion against the original creational order.
These errors still creep into the sanctuary, with disastrous consequences.
So for example, every time a church allows a woman to preside over the Eucharist, the fall of Genesis 3 is being re-enacted; a woman serving the sacramental meal (especially to men) means Satan’s lies are still being believed.

Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
