Please read somebody saying this in a non-snarky tone. I'm in favor of giving grace to those who crossed lines when younger--but how far back?

@PeterMoskos Whelp--was hoping for some sort of silver lining.

I gather that's not entirely unusual for books published by university presses. As an outsider it seems like the goal of the university is more to influence the conversation.

But more sales would definitely be nice.

I'm not asking if it was worth it (I'm guessing not under any circumstance). Just curious as to whether it provided additional sales due to (negative) focus.
