@LogistclNightmr yeah regardless it's important to know ppl take it seriously. honestly probably a microcosm of a lot of the ways tech bro types think and are persuaded by these ludicrous ideas
@AnonymousBadge3 they sent me a packet detailing financials at some point and i would've qualified for the highest tier of financial aid because my family was "only" bringing home 5 figures, like people REALLY underrate how ELITE the elite schools are
@AnonymousBadge3 going to visit ivies my senior year was an extremely eye-opening experience. basically everyone i was talking to was already an entrepeneur featured in Forbes at 17, or a polyglot who'd been to like 60 countries doing charity work, or a politician's kid lol.

Conan O'Brien, suddenly getting serious 65 minutes into the Oscars ceremony: last year, Paul Rudd showed me a clip of a little boy in a wheelchair who fell off a cliff and died. he fucking died
@bbatts523 Anyway I think the answer basically comes down to where you live geographically. For reference for those who don't know, only 23 players from the US are currently ranked top 100 in Ult whereas Melee looks to have ~85? + Different ppl define difficulty different ways
@bbatts523 Inspired by this (though not necessarily done just to make a point) I think it would be extremely fascinating to sit down with someone who knows Melee stats, give them a few Ult players' results, and have them guess where in top 100 the player ended up.
