A prof of law once told me something after explaining a procedure and what we intend to do for him.

He said and I quote " Doc let me pretend like I understood everything you just said, indeed no matter how educated one can be, we are indeed functional illiterate outside our respective fields"

First, you can't just harvest my organ and give to anybody, you must check if we are compatible, of which chances of compatibility is higher amongst close relatives, if we are not and you give my organ to any random person, the body soldiers( immune system) will go to that organ and destroy it immediately because it is an intruder.

Secondly, long term organ preservation (cryopreservation) is still experimental even in developed countries, so if you harvest my heart or liver for example you have 6 or 24hrs cold ischaemic limit respectively to transplant it to a recipient, failure to do so reduce the success rate drastically.
So if you are thinking, they harvest organs then transport it abroad after days or months, pls dead the idea.

Lastly, one scan cannot tell you if all your vital organs are intact, so for starts you do a Brain scan, Neck scan, chest scan, abdomen and pelvic scan, scrotal scan etc before jumping to conclusion.

Since this is coming from you who is not a doctor, then it is completely understandable, prof rule still stands.
