So much time and effort into this, so excited to see episode 1 of @lagunitasbeer Six-Pack Stories live! #PenelopeRoad joined us at @LuckReunion to crack open our six questions.
For the first edition of Lagunitas’ Six-Pack Stories, Penelope Road squeezed onto the couch at Luck Reunion to talk go-to drinking songs, playing a festival with Natasha Bedingfield, and the carefree vibe of their music.
Ratboys put on a surprise pop-up show at the legendary Night Club 101 in NYC on Wednesday, tearing through songs from their fantastic new album Singin’ to an Empty Chair.

@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta Honestly, I shouldn't have wasted my time with giving you the type of engagement your desperate search for relevance and digital presence strives for. You're wrong. You lick boots. F*ck off.
@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta I mean there's a difference btwn necessary on a humanistic scale and necessary on a societal one. Having fast access to the Internet, email, the ability to move swiftly without stopping to check a map every other turn, I'd say is necessary to keep up with the pace of society
@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta You don't have to give more means of invasive access just because u give some - it's not an in for a penny situation.
You also don't have to be pro ALL tech just because you're an acct peddling "helpful tech" to people for affiliate payouts. It's ok to say something isn't good
@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta Smartphone tech became a societal necessity. And there are precautions u can take to protect against some surveillance methods - admittedly, still a large flaw, still gross. But "u can't complain about X bad thing because u participate in Y bad thing" still fails as argument here
@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta ... Yea so at some point you reveal your lack of (barely) close reading comprehension skills and I realize I'm debating a toddler so we can end this now.
A Smartphone with cams became a necessary societal tool. A doorbell camera with AI detection scanning a neighborhood is not.
@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta Not to mention - sure, there's plenty of grid out there already, but turning every ring equipped home into a literal grid of surveillance is next level 1984. Also your constant argumentative tactic of "similar bad things already exist, so what" is assinine.
@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta "well if you don't wanna be stalked or blackmailed, don't do anything remotely untoward ever" not "don't create a system that allows easy access to blackmail." As if people haven't been blackmailed for legal activity like infidelity, poor investments, embarrassing hobbies...
@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta The conceit here was separated. Now add in the woman never tells the guy she's seeing about her ex. Regardless, you're defending the potential use of this tech by people with ill intent or unstable demeanour by going "meh, if I see it I'll speak up". This, btw, is what 🥾 👅 is
@DT9er @acidonchain @aakashgupta A corrupt elected official makes their way into a position of power in their city. At risk of losing the next election, they access Ring data to track political opponents & those campaigning against them. They track their every move, looking for means of blackmail or intimidation
@TheEkernEdge I'm leaning Hunter... Carter feels like a trap, Hunter's playing for incentives with a banged up wr core, and is already an end zone target.
