Big Development:
If PM Shahbaz Sharif is travelling to KSA on emergency basis that likely means USA and Iran are agreed that Pakistan and KSA will be doing joint patrolling of the Strait of Hormuz: my sources in Washington DC confirm.

One of Pakistan’s top diplomats just told me that around two dozen world leaders, on issue of Iran Ceasefire, are still in the waiting list. More than 57 world leaders already spoke to Pakistan top commands on #IranUSCeasefire. Over 120 countries lauded Pakistan’s mediation role in Iran-US War. The story Goes On….#PakistanZindaba 🇵🇰

[Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz]

Received a warm and substantive telephone call from President Emmanuel Macron, this afternoon.

President Macron graciously congratulated Pakistan on its sincere efforts in facilitating the ceasefire between Iran and the United States, and for helping bring both sides to the negotiating table.

I deeply appreciate his kind words as well as his good wishes for the success of the upcoming peace talks in Islamabad.

Pakistan will continue to work with its partners and friends, including France to ensure that this opportunity leads to a durable and lasting peace.

We also shared serious concern over the ongoing aggression in Lebanon and underscored the urgent need to end the violence and loss of innocent lives, so that peace may be restored across the region.

What a country !! Took a loan from the IMF, then stopped a potential World War, also attacked Afghanistan, talked ceasefire with China, then became a Global Peacemaker, also stood with Iran, then condemned attack on KSA, then negotiated with Trump while the nation watched PSL.

[Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz]

With the greatest humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
I warmly welcome the sagacious gesture and extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes.
Both parties have displayed remarkable wisdom and understanding and have remained constructively engaged in furthering the cause of peace and stability. We earnestly hope, that the ‘Islamabad Talks’ succeed in achieving sustainable peace and wish to share more good news in coming days!
