Hi! I’m Idris, a composer for film and TV, media and concert performances. I adore the orchestral soundscapes of Messiaen and Stravinsky, but I also have a penchant for mixing up wild electronica and live instrumental sounds. Noisy plumbing and sheep eating have also featured.

Walking at the weekend, we came across this tiny fawn, hidden in the grass. A quick photo and we moved swiftly on, to avoid stressing it. What a beautiful thing to find though.

I am currently nearing the end of my rescoring of the 1956 Albert Lamorisse masterpiece, The Red Balloon. It has been an extraordinary process and amongst other things, quite an education into 1950s French cinematography.
