@itshannahflynn@AnnaTarkov@GreyAlien Hmnm, but can't you make short loopable video as well? In that case, is there a significant difference between gif and video?
@GreyAlien I have been wondering this as well. It seems like platforms process gifs and video the same; I am pretty sure both end up with the same player, just one has no audio. Then again, maybe that's just normal video and no one is sharing gifs anymore?
Some indie #gamedev myths that need to die imho:
- just make a good game and it will sell
- make your dream game and other people will buy it
- press and awards mean a game is financially succesfull
Caveat: yes I know people make games for different reasons e.g. hobby, art.

@eastshade Thank you for the article! It was an interesting read, and I went through the data this morning. One note though; I disagree that "indie" should be avoided as a tag. As a customer and a developer I use that tag as my first filter when looking for games.

@sp0tus Unfortunately the Volund servers are not online anymore, sorry! Thank you for asking though. We are focusing on single-player experiences right now, as running multiplayer games requires more upkeep than we can manage at the moment.
@samjulien@thatonejason Oh wow, this *is* a good idea... Normally I take notes on paper, but having it in a searchable blog form (where other people could potentially benefit as well) could make it easier to go back over ideas. Thanks for bringing this up!
