This past weekend we hosted the #iGEM Shanghai Regional Conference @nyushanghai. Some 170 iGEMers from 20 teams gathered together to share their research, participate in workshops and learn about @AfteriGEM opportunities. Thank you to all who attended!

#MeetTheTeam: A New York native, Jessie is a biology major with the hopes of going into medicine one day. She was drawn to iGEM by the notion of student-led research. In her free time, she loves learning about different cultures and languages.

#MeetTheTeam: Sichen was born in Jiangsu, China and is interested in medicine. Why did she join the iGEM team initially? “I really wanted the experience, and I also just like trying new things”. 👩‍🔬🧫

#MeetTheTeam: Jenny is a neuroscience major from NYC. iGEM has been an opportunity for her to apply what she learns in the classroom to tackle real-world problems. Fun fact about Jenny: she inserts herself in front of a karaoke mic whenever she gets the chance. 🎤🎶
