From Kigali to Nairobi, from the @NewCitiesMap to the @AfricaUrbanLab — 8 years of building better cities, one milestone at a time.
This week, RCB and partners are attending the ASAE Annual Meeting and Exposition 2025 in Los Angeles, where they've been connecting with and learning from American Association industry leaders.
As the only African destination represented at the event, they've been actively engaging attendees about opportunities for hosting events in Rwanda and organized two breakfast meetings to discuss Rwanda's MICE offerings.

Africa’s wealth is not in question — what matters is we need to harness and add value to it.
At @ASG_Africa’s Executive Education Programme, Hon. Dr. Sherif El-Gabaly, reminded us that transformation begins with ownership and action. A powerful call to reimagine Africa’s potential from within. 🌍✨

🎓The African School of Governance concludes its first-ever Executive Education Programme in Kigali!
Over three days, ministers, parliamentarians, senior officials and experts from across Africa came together to reflect on a critical question: what is the African Worldview?
A historic milestone for this Pan-African institution founded by H.E. @PaulKagame and H.E. Hailemariam Desalegn @HMDessalegn. “Too often, we have sent our best minds abroad to study, only to return with a worldview that has failed to deliver for Africa. ASG must shape a new generation of leaders with a confident African mindset.” – Hailemariam Desalegn
What’s next? ASG will welcome its first MPA cohort in late September — scholarships are available for young African professionals!

A new chapter in African leadership opened in Kigali with the inaugural session of the Executive Education Programme rolled out by the African School of Governance.
Prof. @MoghaluKingsley, ASG President, set the tone: “This is not Harvard. This is not Oxford. This is an African conversation, for Africans, by Africans!”
From proverbs to worldviews heading to nation-building, sessions called on every participant to start from within, reflect and find their national worldview.
🛑 No lectures. Only shared wisdom.
🧠 No passive learning. Only active transformation.

Day 2 of @ASG_Africa’s Executive Education Programme featured an inspiring session with Dr. @DonaldKaberuka, former President of the African Development Bank and board member of the African School of Governance.
After delivery of a powerful lecture on overcoming fragility in Africa, he charged the school:
“ASG must empower decision makers to understand that national priorities, national solutions that are homegrown solutions are the best ways to come out of fragility. African states do not need a host of peacekeepers or international NGOs to emerge from fragility. Rwanda is an example of a nation with a preference for African-led peacekeeping efforts..” – Dr. Donald Kaberuka
A strong call to trust in local solutions and build leadership grounded in African realities.
