Leaders, when someone isn’t meeting expectations, we should stop and ask ourselves whether those expectations are reasonable and clearly communicated.

Normalize accomplishments not being tied to age.

Every person travels their own path at their own pace.

I used to dread writing. I never dreamed that I would someday dream of spending three days just writing, but that’s what I’m doing this week.

We never stop growing and changing and the things you dread early in your career may end up being your favorites later.

Do we all realize that the most important thing we have to do in this world is to prepare ourselves for eternity?

In this commentary, I reflect on my #PhD journey. I answer the questions I am most frequently asked on the ups and downs I faced. I have made the story as human as possible in the hope that it may be of help to someone out there who may need it. #phdlife

I love getting grants and publishing papers as much as anyone, but I hope I never forget:

People are more important than productivity

Why do you need a master's or PhD?

WHY?

Let's digest the feedback from an "excellent application" that was rejected.

Special focus on the highlighted parts 👇

In 1877, Charles H. Spurgeon wrote to his son offering advice for ministry faithfulness:

“Give them the Gospel. Study all you can, preach boldly and let your behavior be with great discretion. Live to Him, and you will be better than great.”

Your ability to #influence others #positively, makes you a #leader.

Forget all the position stuffs............

Occupying a position doesn't make you a leader. It's your #resolve to use that position to #transform lives positively that makes you a leader.

So don't be deceived.

I owe it to myself to be consistent.
I owe it to myself to be disciplined.
I owe it to myself to stay focused.

You only need self-discipline in the beginning, then it just becomes effortless, good habits.

Leaders, if you're feeling discouraged, be kind to yourself. For the last year:
-you've been operating with no playbook
-your job has been to hold people together rather than move them forward
-you've done this while holding yourself together

Even success can feel like failure.

@KingsUgwuanyi @iabrakasa That's it. I thought as much. Kudos. You did well Sir. It is in no measure a small task to undertake. You have done a good job to document this. Do well to update and research on the incoming submissions.
