A prisoner allegedly groped a woman just 15 minutes after he was set free from jail under Keir Starmer's early release scheme, a court heard.

Amari Ward, 31, is accused of sexually assaulting the female while she gave him a lift to a train station.

After driving away from HMP Swaleside last September, the woman told Ward: 'I bet you're glad to be out.'

Ward replied by saying he needed oral sex, which the woman ignored, as she thought he meant with his partner, jurors were told.

She said Ward touched her twice near her groin and asked her to kiss him as they approached Sittingbourne Railway Station, Kent.

Starmer released thousands like this to make way for political prisoners.
