#ThoughtForTheDay The amount of support that some students need for even the smallest of gains in learning can feel overwhelming at times. Hence, why it’s imperative that we cultivate a trusting, supportive culture so staff never hesitates to ask for help. #Culturize
I had the privilege of seeing @iworkmeaningful present on Circles of Grace at a Diversity 4.0 conference in 2018. It was great then and his explanation in this video is equally good. It is a must watch!
Tomorrow is the day that I release Episode 1 of my new 7 Mini-Episode Everyday Diversity Series! The mini-episodes are 5-10 min long (micro-learning) and it's focused on moving Diversity and Inclusion from an initiative to our everyday lives. Get ready! #DiversityandInclusion
Starting today, and for the several years, every Monday morning, I'm going to make a book recommendation for educators of Black children. If I post it, that means I strongly recommend it. We will start with this gem. I encourage you to share with other educators.
@dr_staub@rareedjr@DASD_BC @EquityDASD @DrIbram Stamped is great! I recently finished reading it with my family. Then I read I’m Still Here Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness by @austinchanning which was so good! Another one to consider is How to Be an Anti-Racist by @DrIbram; I just started it and like it so far.
So proud of our Downingtown students for planning and implementing such a beautiful and peaceful protest, and also to M&M for creating such a phenomenal video. Their bravery is inspiring.

@MattRKay Leaders need to model this for staff. Admin must continually and intentionally provide PD and space for race conversations. Must be ongoing. #CultureEd
@MattRKay (A2) Our curriculum does not intentionally disrupt stereotypical representations of historically marginalized groups. We promote a white narrative and reinforce stereotypes by not including or talking about other narratives.
