@dryan165 Were we arrogant? I’m not sure that’s the case. I don’t think anyone in the US had delusions of grandeur. Please don’t let your US hate cloud the reality. We were enjoying a pretty good team. They lost. See you in 4 years.
@Suewilson91 Baseball has the ability to judge intent of actions and this would never ever had been in this situation. A pitcher can hit a batter and if it’s not intentional they aren’t suspended.
@Stiff_FC Not really. Funny that you blame all of us for the orange orangutans actions. Either way, the truth of the matter is most of us won’t care again for another 4 years. We really don’t care.
@hubyszn We don’t care. Soccer is not a revenue sport in the US. Our best athletes play other sports because the return is much much higher for them. Not to mention soccer is boring and most Americans don’t want to watch it.
@garethicke Honestly we think the red card was wrong in the first place and justice is served. None of us are happy that his Orangeness got involved, but I think we believe that this is the correct outcome.
@OldMackIsBack Kick ass at hockey. Soccer is a bunch of pansies flopping around on a field grabbing their legs like they got shot, not a sport. What other “international” sports would you like to throw out there.
Two things can be simultaneously true: 1) Trump shouldn’t have gotten involved. 2) the red card was egregious and shouldn’t have been given in the first place and justice is serviced by its suspension.
@EuroWynner I’m happy saying that now. I was geared up for the WC, but frankly all I’ve seen is a bunch of flopping and pansies rolling around in the turf pretending to be hurt. Also learned abojt a bunch of really stupid rules, like kicking a guy out of the game for incidental contact.
@vnstergranskar1@lnhrte 🤣🤣🤣I was talking about here, but ok. You’re right! International cycling, Olympics and track and field are so clean! No one in the sports world ever doped but us players. FFS.
@AnnBaptist We don’t. He does ALOT of things we don’t agree with. I think you need to understand that the vast majority of Americans think the red card rule is too putative and that this instance lacked intent. Nothing like this in American sports.
@EdKrassen Would we??? I gotta be honest. I know FIFA is crooked as hell. I would have expected this had the roles been reversed. This is exactly why the US generally could give a shit about international soccer. It’s a bunch of crybabies on and off the field.
