Deeply honored to receive, on behalf of the Republic of Djibouti, the Dag Hammarskjöld Medal awarded posthumously to Gendarme First Class Moustapha Ahmed Mouhoumed.

Presented by the @UN Secretary-General on the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, this medal honors his courage, sacrifice, and dedicated service with the Djiboutian Formed Police Unit of #MINUSCA in Ndélé.

#Djibouti pays solemn tribute to his memory and reaffirms its steadfast commitment to the @UNPeacekeeping.

H.E. President @HassanSMohamud spoke by phone with His Majesty King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During the call, the two leaders discussed recent regional developments and the serious implications of ongoing military escalation in the Middle East, underscoring the importance of de-escalation.

The President reaffirmed Somalia’s full solidarity with the government and people of Jordan, expressing firm support for its sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Iranian aggression. He stressed that any attack on Jordan’s territory is a clear violation of international law and cannot be justified.

Le Président de la République Son Excellence Monsieur ISMAIL OMAR GUELLEH a participé hier après-midi à la 35eme Session Ordinaire du Forum des Chefs d’Etat et de Gouvernement du Mécanisme Africain d’Evaluation par les Pairs (MAEP) au cours de laquelle il a présenté le rapport d’étape de notre pays sur la mise en œuvre du programme d’action nationale du MAEP. Notre pays a été félicité et le rapport unanimement approuvé et adopté.
