Let me tell you how it happened. Nigeria’s ginger export hit zero from N26 billion within 3 years.
The official story blames fungal blight.
But here is what actually happened. When Nigerian farmers lost their indigenous seed supply, grant-aided interventions arrived with replacement seeds.
An associate professor at Lagos Business School flagged publicly that some of those interventions involved GMO organisms that weakened indigenous crops and compromised soil health.
That is not a conspiracy theory because it is a documented academic concern.
Now that Nigeria spoke got destroyed by the GMO seedlings….what is not the result?
Nigeria was forced to import ginger from China to fill domestic demand. Chinese ginger has none of the pungency, oleoresin content, or quality that made Nigerian ginger a global premium product. And the ginger now sitting in Nigerian markets tastes like wood because it essentially is wood.
The two indigenous varieties that built Nigeria’s global ginger reputation, the Tafin Giwa and Yatsun Biri, had decades of soil relationship and quality built into them.
Once the soil was degraded and those seed varieties were displaced, the product that returned was a pale imitation. Nigeria did not just lose a market. It lost a seed. And without a National Ginger Seed Bank, which nobody has built, it may never fully get it back.
One of my very close (good friends) killed himself when he turned 40. He had a beautiful wife and a baby girl. He was an orthopedic surgeon. He was gentle and always kind. He shot himself in his home with a shotgun. His suicide note said he had no friends.
I think about him a lot. His wife. His daughter. I think about the kind of friend I was. I think about being his age and what life is like.
Check on someone today. You never know what they are dealing with.
RIP Eric. You are missed my friend.
I’m sorry.
Donatus Mathew was a former bike (okada) rider, who became a member of the house of representative through the "Top to bottom" goodwill of the people.
Few months after his victory, he left the Labour Party and the obidient movement for APC,
Hence, he unapologetically ensured that "on your mandate we stand" became his daily mantra, while laughing at the suffering of the masses that voted him in.
He wants your vote again, because it's his birthright to reap from your goodwill.
We say?
Dear Obidients all over Nigeria,
The Excel spreadsheet below shows the list of Individuals who rode on the Obidient wave to secure their seat then dumped the movement that made them to join the very evil we are up against (APC)
Remember that some of our colleagues died for this course while some continue to live with the injuries they sustained for standing tall for the movement.
Mark their names, they must NEVER return in 2027 neither shall we allow them back into the NDC.
NO FORGIVENESS!
Dear Airtel,
Since there's shortage of people that sell akara on Saturday morning, why don't you look into that business and leave this telecom business?
Best disregard,
An unsatisfied customer.
Fellow Nigerians, good morning.
I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you.
Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances.
We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal.
More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism.
We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power.
Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise.
Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them.
However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building.
Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated.
And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions.
There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline?
Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from.
Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

For the record, the youths arrested by the Nigerian Army and labeled as suspected bandits are actually the indigenous youths and vigilantes from our community. This is why we can't defend ourselves. Whenever our youths try to protect us, they get arrested and disarmed.
Anytime this happens, the community faces attacks again, with many killed, because our defenders are locked up.
These are not the real terrorists; they're still in the bushes and mountains planning their next attack, while the military, knowingly or unknowingly, helps them by disarming our people.
The Nigerian Army should do a serious investigation and stop arresting our people whenever they try to defend their communities from terrorists! 🤲🏽
My husband still regrets coming back to Nigeria 2019 to visit his family,
He was kidnapped that same year, was later released after paying huge amount of ransom which affected his traveling back ,
When we think, things are getting better again for him to go back,
His elder brother was kidnapped, ransom was demanded ,
Hubby sold all his resources and assets just for his released because his four kids was still very young and the wife,
But even after the ransom was paid, he was still killed, no body to retrieve,
At the same time, hubby lost everything to them, and was also in so much debit which has been cleared by God's grace
Instead of staying without anything, he decided to borrowed little money and get second hand Keke which he is managing now but has been in a bad shape since last week
So to the f@@l that was calling me an Igbo beggar just because I committed on a giveaway, may Nigeria happen to u too
This was my husband before Nigeria happened to him and now 🙏🙏🙏
I am begging you people, pls go and Join ADC.
Everyone is pushing for a direct primary election.
I am on my knees, please join and make whoever you want candidate.
IT IS A DIRECT PRIMARY ELECTION.
THERE NO DELEGATES...
A Nigerian man was working as a cashier at a DIY (hardware) store in London.
He was caught letting his wife steal £200 worth of materials.
Both convicted.
One year later he was arrested again.
This time at Euston station with another man’s stolen credit card.
Convicted again.
He returned to Nigeria.
And he ran for governor of Delta State.
Nigerian law said you cannot run if you have a criminal conviction.
He forged his date of birth on his passport to hide his UK record.
Nobody checked.
He won. 😂😂😂
His official salary as governor was $25,000 a year.
He bought six properties in London. A mansion in Johannesburg. Properties in Washington and Houston. A private jet worth $20 million. A Bentley. A Maybach. A fleet of armoured Range Rovers.
His American Express bills showed he spent tens of thousands of dollars every single month on luxury hotels, clubs and shopping.
In 2007 Nigeria’s anti-corruption chief accused him of stealing $250 million from Delta State.
Ibori offered the EFCC chairman $15 million in cash to drop the case.
The chairman pretended to accept.
Then deposited the cash at the Central Bank.
Nigerian courts still acquitted him on all 170 charges.
He ran. Escaped to Dubai. A mob of his supporters fought off the police trying to arrest him.
Interpol caught him in Dubai.
The UK extradited him.
In 2012 he pleaded guilty in a London court.
The judge called the £50 million he admitted to stealing “ludicrously low.”
He was sentenced to 13 years.
Served half.
Returned to Nigeria in 2017.
A sitting senator was in the crowd that welcomed him home.
His name is James Ibori.
Nigeria never convicted him once.

Everybody likes to talk from the outside until you enter the road.
I’m a keke rider myself, and with experience… no, it’s not that easy.
This idea of “buy keke ₦5M, make ₦200k daily” sounds sweet online, but reality on ground is very different.
I work interstate between Lagos and Ogun (can’t mention exact location for security reasons), so let me break it down small:
In Lagos alone:
Main ticket: ₦1,300
Money for markers, chairman, security, etc: about ₦1,000
Police/agency money (LASTMA, LNSC, etc): varies, but you must settle or risk paying ₦2k–₦10k for “offence”
That’s already money gone before you even start breathing.
Now Ogun side:
Main ticket: ₦1,700 (₦1,300 weekends)
“King of boys”: ₦200
Other random levies: ₦500
Then fuel: ₦12,000 daily at least
Passengers? They’ll still price you like fuel is ₦200 per litre.
We haven’t even talked about:
Repairs (very frequent and expensive now)
Feeding and daily survival
Weekly hire purchase: ₦60k–₦70k for almost 2 years
And let me add this: once a new keke hits 6 months, problems start coming one by one.
So when everything is deducted…
what exactly is left?
This job is not “wake up and print money.”
It’s survival, patience, and constant expenses.
So no — if someone is still broke, it’s not always laziness or chasing job titles.
Sometimes, it’s because the system itself is designed to drain you before you even grow.
Respect people on the road. The hustle is deeper than it looks.
Yar'Adua at the time wanted to establish Nign Sovereign Wealth Fund(SWF) which will stir Nig into managing it's Crude Oil like other Oil rich Nations n stop reliance on IMF loan
They couldn't have it, GEJ went ahead with the plan anyway n passed the bill into law in 2011.../1
