@nthibodeaujarry @NatMartAce Precisely! But with a caveat to Yerkes-Dodson that the point at which the learner falls off the curve exists on a spectrum. Allowing the learner to explore the limits of their tipping point is vital
@nthibodeaujarry Not only have I failed, but I can tell you the time, place, what I was wearing, who was in the room, what pen I was holding. Meanwhile, Iโm not sure I can recall any detail about a time I got something right...
@NoahKohn1 You could even name that space between what we can and cannot do a zone of proximal development #HMIEducators โZPDโ if you wanna be hip at parties
Shoutout to the residency program website that includes a separate page just dedicated to all the residents cute pets, including bios. The type of content applicants love to see.
@nrgruski Maybe. Bosk 1980 describes it as a โdressing down.โ But also comments on the kinship instilled between surgeons. Obviously bullying goes well past feedback. However, everyoneโs threshold for what is & is not constructive varies a great deal
@nrgruski It happens to everyone at some point or another. Hiding harsh feedback removes a shared experience. We all have something to learn or times we mess up, never seeing anyone else go through it can leave a learner feeling isolated and inept compared to peers. (Interesting topic)
