Cloud platforms in the marketing vs in the developer docs

@kylegalbraith I had friends that used to live in Outer Sunset and I'd come to SF just to visit them in that neighborhood. Also the Presidio, if you can get in.

@20thr @scalevp @NEA @20vcFund Congrats! 🎉

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@rawkode Yeah that's fair. If you do the work to make containers locked and armed they're better than nothing.

Your Origin repo just got Cloudflare deployments!

[Cloudflare Developers @CloudflareDev]

@cursor_ai → Cloudflare Workers is live.

Connect an Origin repo to your Worker to automatically deploy on push, preview non-production branches, and get build statuses directly in your pull request.

@boristane @steren one language ecosystem per day, it was in his contract

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@ibuildthecloud Okay fine, I'll solve caching, but you have to name it.

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@kylegalbraith I know right? He must be like 10+ feet tall when he stands straight up.

Luckily for all of us, he never stands straight up.

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@heyaleksandr @smehmood simple: have a local app that simulates fan noise corresponding to cloud env usage

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@steren hell yeah

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@jarredsumner Finally, JS will use strlen for function hashing?

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@ChrisShort Norway it isn't

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@ThePrimeagen If you can, learn it like @tianon has learned it: https://t.co/kHmf4jg5W8

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@chrismunns Finally a database in @kylegalbraith 's back yard

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@QuinnyPig slop monorepo, so I can at least wrangle consistent CI/style/rules and ratchet them all generally upwards.

If I like anything enough to "escape containment" I'll give it a repo of its own, but that hasn't happened yet.

[Jason @ImJasonH]

@samlambert @vmg I want to be @vmg when I grow up

[Cursor @cursor_ai]

We're making Git hosting more reliable, performant, and scalable.

This post traces 20 years of Git infrastructure and explains how that history led us to design and operate our Git storage, Origin, as if it were a database.
