@Aura_seven7 @paper_cat6@eiwny@kleeuphoriaaa Basically the tone of her voice while singing is very normal in Chinese opera. Search up any Chinese opera on youtube and you can find them singing in those tones since it's a necessary thing to do in Chinese opera.
@navi_901@suchaslacker @4kyrz @sanhteeago @Yuganismybabe Lmao wtf do you mean more meaning than the asian alternative Zhongli's Chinese name 鐘離/钟离 the 鐘/钟 is clock and 離/离 means leave or departure which is fitting for the story. What about John Lee then? Somebody who was born in a family of Lee got named as John?
@HistorianGab @RosieBobaTea @kaeyasluvbot @pavonisocellus It never even mention being lesbian or as they called it "lesbo" in here. I'm really confused as to why the person who translated this decided to add something that wasn't even there in the first place?
@aboubac01032197 Ah sorry for the late reply. But it honestly depends I suppose? Since it kinda lost its original intend. Most people don't know the real meaning behind the festival only associating it with boat races. We just use this festival as a day to hang out with friends and family.
@aboubac01032197 That was the origin of the dragon festival. Nowadays we just celebrate it by eating sticky rice dumplings (Zongzi 粽子). Watching dragon boat races with people paddling while beating drums.
@aboubac01032197 He's famous so when people heard about his death they went to get the boats. Throwing rice dumplings so that the fish won't eat Qu Yuan's corpse as they look for him. They started to beat drums and splash water with their paddles to get the evil spirits away from his corpse. 2/3
