First of all you can’t just convert a cup to grams because a cup measures volume and grams measures weight. You could use ounces instead of grams but most Americans do not use/own a kitchen scale, but they own measuring cups/spoons. Convert cups into mL.

@gerogerc You really only need the precision of a scale for baked goods, everything else has an acceptable margin of error. Our home cuisine rarely involves things that need to be baked. Scale is unnecessary unless you’re into baking.

If you ask pro-capitalist people why a job like, say, sanitation work has such an abysmal wage even though the job is necessary, they’ll tell you that it is an unskilled occupation. We could contest that, but for the sake of argument, let’s concede. By this logic, value is derived from how much labor is required to accomplish something—in this case, the labor of learning the skill in addition to the labor of completing the task at hand. A doctor, then, would earn a much higher wage because of the labor required to obtain the necessary degrees to practice. Okay. But then, if you ask a pro-capitalist people again why the price of a pair of glasses, a mattress, or even a bottle of water is so expensive, despite these things being cheap and easy to make, they’ll tell you that value is not determined by the labor that goes into producing something, but by need and demand. This inconsistency reveals how neoliberal economics functions: the value of something means whatever is most convenient for the ruling class.

The complex portrayals of how two people who have experienced severe emotional and physical abuse end the cycles and heal through each other is just *chef’s* kiss. There has never been another ship like them. I’ve been chasing that high ever since (KP was my first BL)

The portrayal of love between two people who’s emotional language has been marred by abuse and becomes intertwined with violence is so important n special ++

Vegas is always surrounded by red lighting or wearing red until he and Pete start connecting while Pete is green/blue and the colors start blurring until their NC scene which is lit in purple, representing the mix of red/blue.
