Thanks for asking for specifics. History already gave us the specifics.
Government-directed food access programs have been launched across the country for years, and the results have been underwhelming. The same communities are still struggling after millions, and in some cases billions, of taxpayer dollars were spent.
So forgive me if I’m not convinced that Phoenix has suddenly discovered the secret formula everyone else missed.
The question isn’t whether the plan sounds compassionate. Every government plan does. The question is whether it works. The track record says otherwise. That’s why I’m skeptical. Not because of “rage bait,” but because results matter more than slogans.
@WNBA@minnesotalynx Let the WNBA go back to what it was before Clark and other straight white women came into the league and see what happens to your audience. Your talk about diversity is bullshit. You are starting to alienate a large portion of your new audience.
@jgp700@PhoenixMercury Keep playing this stupid game with Clark and go back to an exclusively black and lesbian audience and see what your attendence and ratings look like.
Nobody is asking for Caitlin Clark to be protected. People are asking for the rules to be enforced consistently. There’s a difference.
The WNBA has every right to let players be physical, but that standard has to apply equally to everyone. When obvious contact is repeatedly ignored, especially against the league’s biggest star, it creates the perception of inconsistent officiating. That’s bad for the players, bad for the fans, and bad for the league.
Clark has handled the attention, the physical play, and the pressure. The officials need to handle their job with the same consistency.
A 30th anniversary WNBA poster without Caitlin Clark? That’s like making a Bulls poster without Jordan. Love her or hate her, she’s helped drive attendance, TV ratings, merch sales, and new fans. Did the designer borrow the WNBA refs’ glasses? Missing obvious calls never gets old.
Thank you, Ayaan. Your perspective matters because you’ve experienced firsthand what life without freedom looks like. I appreciate your willingness to embrace and defend the values that made your success possible rather than taking them for granted. America isn’t perfect, but the freedoms and opportunities it offers are still extraordinary. I hope you continue to be a rational voice in a time when too many people would rather shout than listen.
@Selene_Mariposa You forgot Costco. That’s where foreigners stop believing anything they’re seeing. They walk in for toothpaste and leave wondering if they’re legally allowed to buy a 10-pound tub of peanut butter and a kayak at the same time.
@azchickentender@yassaminansari@krismayes Ansari is a silver spoon mouthpiece. Never known hardship in her life. She prates to others about how she understands their struggles while overlooking them from her luxury home(s) in a downtown Phoenix high rise. Self serving scum.
