Never thought I’d share something from Major General (Retd.) GD Bakshi,
but his anger is real - and his questions are important.

He said it straight:
• No army recruitment during COVID
• Now there are 1.8 lakh vacancies in the Army
• The Army is getting smaller while threats are growing
• All this just to save money?Who decided this?
• If we have to fight in mountains and jungles - we need soldiers, not speeches

ಜಮ್ಮು ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಉಗ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಅಟ್ಟಹಾಸ. ಪ್ರತೀ ಬಾರಿಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಸೇನೆಯ ಯೋಧರ ಮೇಲೆ ಧಾಳಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನೀಚರು ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಮೇಲೆ, ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರಂತಹ ಪರಮಪಾಪಿಗಳು ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ರಾಜಕೀಯವಾಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳಾಗಿವೆ ಆದರೆ ಉಗ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಿವೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಕಡಿವಾಣ ಇನ್ನೂ ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದುರಂತದ ಸಂಗತಿ ಇದು. ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಾರಣಹೋಮ ಆಗಲಿ ಅಂತಷ್ಟೇ ನಾವು ಆಶಿಸಬಹುದು.
