@yofavagronomist Reminds me of a guy I met at this interview ,he was like there is no point acquiring degrees in Zimbabwe ,a masters is a waste of time and resources, i told him well, I will learn till PHD, for some of us academics is purpose, it all depends with whom God has called you to be.
This is SDG 13, 11, 1 & 3 in action.
If youโre in the helping professions, get disaster training. The next emergency wonโt wait.
Praying for Nepal ๐

As a Social Work student studying Disaster Risk & Management, Iโm learning our role is clear:
1. Psychosocial support to survivors
2. Advocate for vulnerable groups
3. Help communities build back better

Watching the news from Nepal breaks my heart.
From Cyclone Idai, to El Niรฑo droughts, to Kariba, and now Nepal.
Disasters expose gaps โ but also the power of trained responders.

Hunger leads to dropout, child labour, GBV.
Iโm ready to work with any stakeholder. No child in Zim should go to school hungry.
What are YOU putting in place for 2027?
#SDG2#ChildProtection#Zimbabwe
What we can do Now,
1. Push MoPSE & @WFP_Zimbabwe & @UNICEFZIMBABWE for early school feeding
2. Link families to @MoPSSW_Zim & @FAOAfrica & @WorldVisionZim for food aid & seed packs
3. Partner with Traditional Leaders + @ChildlineZim + ZRP VFU to protect kids
The El Niรฑo is coming. 2027 , drought year for Zim.
By the time kids are hungry, itโs too late.
As social workers, we must prepare NOW for Zero Hunger. ๐งต
