My aunt: It is impossible to imagine that my mother, who lost her parents & became orphaned at 7, fought against Hitler with the Russian people, had to hide in a haystack from Nazi German soldiers, today, at the age of 85, is hiding in the basement in Kyiv from Russian soldiers.
Findings from wave 3 are now out. We have a full report and easier to read reports on vaccinations and testing, restrictions, physical/mental health, social/ digital lives, support and bereavement https://t.co/24ww1sJ5wW
We're proud of the lifesaving work our volunteers do in the Channel – we make no apology for it. Those we rescue are vulnerable people in danger & distress. Each of them is someone’s father, mother, son or daughter - every life is precious. This is why we launch:
@susanthomsonslt I saw this too @susanthomsonslt! Love it! Tho my cat would possibly take one look and sleep elsewhere.....but that’s the joy of cats....🤣🤣 (Cat TV is definitely a ‘thing’ tho)
@NTyneCCG @ldnortheast Fantastic to see! Do people with learning disabilities need to get appointments thru their GPs to access this service or can they book directly?
Hey @NTyneCCG - any more info re COVID vaccinations for ALL people with learning disabilities? And your clinic? Now the whole of Scotland has joined lots of english CCGs, it seems like it might be the right thing to do? #LearningDisability#CovidVaccine#LD
Whether a person w a learning disability is prioritised for the vaccine now depends on:
* what your local CCG has decided
* how good you/someone else is at advocating to your GP
* which country in the UK you live in
End the inequality now @MattHancock @fmwales @DUPLeader
@NTyneCCG @ChampionsNT @TyneHealth@heatonmosque Any updates @NTyneCCG? Bearing in mind the announcement from Scotland today? (People with mild to moderate learning disabilities will now be included in Priority Group 6...)
People with mild or moderate learning disability are to be included in priority group 6, says First Minister Nicola Sturgeon

@NTyneCCG @ChampionsNT @TyneHealth That’s very much appreciated @NTyneCCG The personal and the professional are very much colliding here so I know many other people who will be eager to hear as well as me!
@LiviButt @NTyneCCG @ChampionsNT @TyneHealth As a Scouser I’m proud to hear this @LiviButt! 😀 Come on @NTyneCCG! I do have a personal reason for asking you specifically. (#heaintheavyhesmybrother )
But how about setting an example for other North East CCGs???
@NTyneCCG @LiviButt @ChampionsNT @TyneHealth@heatonmosque Does this mean that North Tyneside CCG are now prioritising vaccinations for all people with learning disabilities in line with other CCGs such as Kent and Medway, Oxford etc? That would be really good news! @jowhiley@mencap_charity#learningdisabilities#LD
