Update on the Mx mortgage saga with @HalifaxBank. Apparently we're getting a call tomorrow with one their senior execs. It's gone right to the top and action is being taken. I guess we find out tomorrow what that action is...

Dear @HalifaxBank. Apparently, you won't issue our mortgage to us using my legal name and title. We're told you will only use Miss or Mrs for me, despite my legal title, and my title on all my bank accounts/ID being Mx. I can't be your first trans/nonbinary customer. What gives?

Update on #theHalifaxtitledebacle. According to our @HalifaxBank rep, the situation 'has been escalated to our Lending Centre to ask that it is fully reviewed'. I have a journalist wanting to cover this story now too so let's see what comes back today before we go bigger...
