I don't believe I would have noticed this on the University's TVs nor would I have completed the Module they provided on understanding diverse cultures before starting this Unit of Work. This unit has made me more aware of how institutions are promoting diversity #UoNTeach

@KPulik I was reluctant to use Twitter as I had never used it before and felt as though it wouldn't be beneficial for me. However, i am so pleasantly surprised with how much it has encouraged and progressed my learning on cultural diversity. #UoNTeach

@KPulik I could not agree with you more Keegan. Through this unit of work I have become more aware of how vital it is to incorporate cultural diversity in the classroom through cultural experiences and including the community. I believe it benefits every student as well. #UoNTeach

@GodschalkJacob This is fantastic and a super simple way to become more sustainable. I would be worried about tipping the water out into the garden with paint residue mixed in. However I'm sure there is a way around this! #UoNTeach

@GodschalkJacob I completely agree! I have reflected lately on how much plastic I am using. I have now made the switch to more environmentally friendly companies that produce "cling wrap", Toilet paper and toothbrushes! #UoNTeach

@ellenm_morgan Cultural diversity is becoming more and more common in schools. In my last school almost half of all students were culturally diverse. This meant our school placed a high importance on incorporating cultural diversity into classrooms and the school as a whole. #UoNTeach

As someone who has never used twitter, I am surprised by how easy it is to navigate and how much it has helped me to connect with other pre-service teachers to build on my own knowledge and share what I have learnt about cultural diversity through my own practicums. #UoNTeach

We are one of the most multicultural countries in the 21st Century. Upon reflection of my research and personal experiences, I can now see how the educational system has catered for students with different cultural backgrounds by using ESL teachers and language lessons. #UoNTeach

@dylancatz16 I completely agree with you, Dylan. I think it is vital to involve Aboriginal community members in the classroom as well as the school as whole. It allows for knowledge to be passed on and a deeper understanding for the students around culture and diversity. #UoNTeach
