@KPulik @BehindTheNews I love BTN! They have some amazing resources and information on Key dates. I also agree that we need to be incorporating cultural diversity into lessons frequently and not just when a key date comes about. #UoNTeach
I don't believe I would have noticed this on the University's TVs nor would I have completed the Module they provided on understanding diverse cultures before starting this Unit of Work. This unit has made me more aware of how institutions are promoting diversity #UoNTeach
@KPulik I was reluctant to use Twitter as I had never used it before and felt as though it wouldn't be beneficial for me. However, i am so pleasantly surprised with how much it has encouraged and progressed my learning on cultural diversity. #UoNTeach
@KPulik I could not agree with you more Keegan. Through this unit of work I have become more aware of how vital it is to incorporate cultural diversity in the classroom through cultural experiences and including the community. I believe it benefits every student as well. #UoNTeach
@GodschalkJacob This is fantastic and a super simple way to become more sustainable. I would be worried about tipping the water out into the garden with paint residue mixed in. However I'm sure there is a way around this! #UoNTeach
@GodschalkJacob I completely agree! I have reflected lately on how much plastic I am using. I have now made the switch to more environmentally friendly companies that produce "cling wrap", Toilet paper and toothbrushes! #UoNTeach
@ellenm_morgan This is fantastic! I didn't even think to incorporate cultural diversity topics into KLAs such as Art! Thank you so much for sharing Ellen, I will definitely be using this as an educator. Such an interesting add on that it can be moderated for different stages. #UoNTeach
@ellenm_morgan I couldn't agree more with you. I am also exploring cultural diversity and am so surprised by how many resources and statistics are available! I have definitely gained a deeper understanding and now have so many resources to refer back to for my internship! #UoNTeach
@ellenm_morgan Cultural diversity is becoming more and more common in schools. In my last school almost half of all students were culturally diverse. This meant our school placed a high importance on incorporating cultural diversity into classrooms and the school as a whole. #UoNTeach
These statistics show the cultural diversity of Australia in 2014. Imagine how these statistics have grown since then. It is clear that it is becoming vital to promote and incorporate activities around cultural diversity into classrooms. Do these numbers surprise you? #UoNTeach
As someone who has never used twitter, I am surprised by how easy it is to navigate and how much it has helped me to connect with other pre-service teachers to build on my own knowledge and share what I have learnt about cultural diversity through my own practicums. #UoNTeach
We are one of the most multicultural countries in the 21st Century. Upon reflection of my research and personal experiences, I can now see how the educational system has catered for students with different cultural backgrounds by using ESL teachers and language lessons. #UoNTeach

A great article to read on how to get more involved in Aboriginal culture and the community. These tips can be brought into classroom discussions and implemented within topics and lessons!
@jwood961 These statistics show how important it is to promote culturally diverse classrooms. I didn't know half of these statistics and it has definitely made me think about how I would promote diversity and make sure all my classroom activities cater to every single student. #UoNTeach
@Lindle98192700 Wow, I had no idea about this statistic. It goes to show how important it is to teach cultural diversity in schools and work collaboratively with the Aboriginal community to preserve these languages and the history that comes with them. #UoNTeach

@dylancatz16 I completely agree with you, Dylan. I think it is vital to involve Aboriginal community members in the classroom as well as the school as whole. It allows for knowledge to be passed on and a deeper understanding for the students around culture and diversity. #UoNTeach
The more I research and reflect on cultural diversity within the classroom and broader community, the more I understand how fundamental it is. Implementing cultural diversity into the classroom and inspiring Students to take action should be a priority for all Teachers. #UoNTeach
How fantastic is this coin that was released last month. I believe this coin will increase inclusivity and pride among all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. How would you incorporate and demonstrate cultural diversity in the classroom? #UoNTeach
To celebrate #IY2019, @RoyalAustMint today released a coin developed in consultation with Indigenous language custodian groups, featuring 14 different words for 'money' in a variety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages: https://t.co/k0F8NAE5li @ConversationEDU
@Reace_Louise This is a fantastic way to include Aboriginal Perspectives into classroom activities. I love the incorporation of 21st Century learning skills and allowing student self direction! I will definitely remember this for Internship. #UoNTeach
