We were in Supreme Court today fighting for justice for a mother whose son was killed by his wife and lover in broad day light, inhumanly
Both were convicted by Trial Court and sentenced to Life but HC suspended their sentence & gave bail to both of them. We challenged the order in SC
Lover has done 7 years in Jail
Wife has done 2 years in Jail
Supreme Court today said the time they have done in Jail is decent and anyways High Court will hear us in appeal !!!!
AN ADULTEROUS WIFE CAN LITERALLY GET AWAY WITH MURDER IN INDIA - 2 YEARS IN JAIL IS ALL THAT OUR APEX COURT THINKS IS ENOUGH AS HER PUNISHMENT !!!
I AM APPALLED AND DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY
Wife & the lover is free now to enjoy life after eliminating the husband
Meanwhile, this old lady, the mother, we are fighting for, first lost her son to this murder and then lost her another son to a heart attack
ENTIRE FAMILY DESTROYED BUT NO JUSTICE
SO SO SO DISGUSTED !!!
Bank of Baroda (BoB) refuses to tell which industrialists' loans worth ₹35,715 crore it wrote off.
Why? Because of the borrowers' "privacy".😂
Do you know what happens when you (the taxpayer) defaults on an EMI?
At times, the recovery agents call your company's HR, CEO and your boss to tell them that you are defaulting.
They come to your doorstep and humiliate you in front of your kids, neighbours and family.
Even though it is in violation of RBI's Fair Practices Code.
They leave no stone unturned to shame you and make your mental and physical health go for a toss.
In some cases, they even share your details in a newspaper (while selling your properties).
For wilful defaulters, they are allowed to publish the names and photos of such defaulters.
But apparently, when it comes to industrialists (simplified in this case – for those who have outstanding loans of ₹100 crore), BoB cites "privacy" and refuses to disclose such defaulters.
Privacy for defaulting on public money?
Privacy for the rich but not for the common man?
Privacy for those defaulting on our tax money?
BoB is a government company and thus, the money they're losing here is from our taxpayers' money.
Why do we have different rules for the taxpayers and the industrialists?
@smitadeshmukh If rats and cockroaches are “beyond their control,” perhaps restaurants should just put it honestly on the menu:
“All meals best served with rats & cockroaches.”
At least customers would know what they’re paying for. Hygiene isn’t a luxury - it’s the bare minimum.

If pest control isn't in their control, what exactly are customers paying for? 😡
AMC’s Food Department conducted an inspection at the St. Xavier’s Loyola School Campus canteen, near Vijay Cross Road, Naranpura, under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
The inspection found that the canteen was operating without an FSSAI licence/registration. Non-compliance with prescribed food hygiene requirements was also observed, including absence of caps, aprons and gloves for food handlers, unclean conditions in the freezer, mould growth on vegetables and use of food items beyond their expiry date.
In view of these food safety and hygiene violations, the canteen was sealed. AMC will continue inspections of school canteens across Ahmedabad and take action under applicable provisions of the FSSA and GPMC Act against establishments found violating prescribed norms.

Dear @IncomeTaxPune,
The FDA raided Gurunanak Dairy and Sweets shop and suspended its license. They have now gone to court seeking compensation, claiming a loss of ₹8.5 lakh in 34 days.
That means:
₹25,000/day
₹25,000 × 365 = ₹91.25 lakh/year
Let's see how much tax they paid last year.
98% compliance after the licence was suspended for hygiene violations. Fine. But what about the period of non-compliance?
Was there any penalty imposed for putting citizens’ health at risk, or is food safety compliance something businesses can simply ignore until they’re caught?
The Bombay High Court has directed the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to pay ₹5 lakh to a Pune-based sweets shop after questioning the continued suspension of its food licence despite substantial compliance with safety norms. Gurunanak Dairy and Sweets in Wadgaon-Sheri had its licence suspended on June 12 following an inspection that found several hygiene and sanitation deficiencies. After the shop submitted a compliance report, a re-inspection on July 13 found 98% compliance, with 35 of 36 parameters meeting the required standards. The court set aside the continued suspension, allowed the shop to resume operations, and directed the FDA to pay ₹5 lakh within 30 days.

When India accidentally wiped out its vultures, half a million people died in five years.
The bird doing zoomies in this video runs the most extreme digestive system in the animal kingdom. Vulture stomach acid sits near pH 1, strong enough to destroy anthrax, rabies, and botulism in the carcasses they eat. A flock strips a cow to bone in about 45 minutes.
India had 50 million of them. Free sanitation at national scale, in a country where religious custom means most cattle die natural deaths and every dead cow becomes a carcass someone has to deal with.
Then the patent on diclofenac expired in 1994. Farmers started using the cheap painkiller on livestock. Trace amounts left in a carcass cause kidney failure in vultures. Within a decade, 50 million birds fell to a few thousand. The fastest collapse of any bird species since the passenger pigeon.
The carcasses didn't disappear. Feral dogs took the vultures' place and brought rabies with them. Rotting remains leached into waterways. In districts where vultures once thrived, human death rates rose more than 4 percent. Economists at Chicago and Warwick put the toll at 100,000 extra deaths a year and $69 billion in annual damages.
So yes, the goofy bird sprinting down the walkway is adorable. It's also a disease firewall that evolution spent millions of years building and one generic painkiller nearly erased in ten.

You started walking on four, then on two, ensure you don't walk on three when you grow older (picked from the TOI article below)
At 45, I see most friends, cousins around my age, not following any kind of strength training. Most are at best just doing simple 40 min walks.
Follow the basics: Protein + Strength training.
Poor muscles after 40 will impact your lifestyle.
Happy to read this on leg day :)
*A naughty question and a brilliant answer!*
Why can't Lord Shiva be spotted by satellite, if Hindus claim him to be on Mount Kailash in the Himalayas?
Recently on Quora this query arose.
The reply was supposedly from a practicing Hindu from US, holding a PhD.
------
Human eyes and recording equipment can't record what dogs and cats see at night. Then came infrared cameras. We realised shortcomings of our eyes. Microscopes started seeing cells. Scientists went on to build bigger and bigger microscopes, electron microscopes - just realised that the smallest part of independent existence, has many parts. Then came CAT scans, PET scans, MRIs; we started seeing what nobody knew existed.
When scientists thought we knew everything, came dark matter. Never seen or heard of earlier but, now, believed to occupy about 75% of of space. Again we knew we don't know anything.
AS A TRAINED SCIENTIST I CAN SHARE THE REAL SECRET OF WHY LORD SHIVA CAN'T BE SPOTTED, ON MOUNT KAILASH, BY SATELLITES.
For seeing Shiva on that mountain, we need different eyes. Once we have those, He can be seen not just on Kailash by scientists but everywhere and anywhere because that mountain is not the only place, He is. He is everywhere.
This separate set of eyes required are those of mind, those of heart, those of dedication, those of your surrender.
Once that comes, rest all will automatically fall into place.
Over time, I’ve come to realize that the growing menace of stray dogs, monkeys, and cattle has severely disrupted the routines of morning and evening walkers. In my colony, some residents have almost stopped stepping out altogether due to the fear of being attacked by these animals.

Proposal : Rename Ahmedabad to Amdavad, retain Gandhinagar, and brand the twin-city region as Karnavati.
🔹 Amdavad reflects local Gujarati pronunciation
🔹 Gandhinagar remains the administrative capital
🔹 Karnavati as a unified regional identity
Historic connect, modern relevance.
