Lu Dort was the longest tenured Thunder player and genuinely one of my favorite players of all time

He was a catalyst that turned the Thunder around in 2019-2020 as an undrafted rookie who became a starter and gave Harden hell round one before one of the greatest game 7 peer romances ever

He grew into one of the best defenders in the sport and a knockdown shooter who saved the championship run in that series vs the Nuggets

His moonball three from halfcourt in game 7 is the moment where it felt like the championship was won

From undrafted to a champion with the Thunder, I hope the #5 isn’t worn for the Thunder again

I feel like anything I could say about Lu Dort wouldn’t do his tenure in OKC justice. One of the greatest players in Thunder history. Easily. Culture guy, the dorture chamber, velveeta’s favorite son, hero of the bubble. To say he’ll be missed is an understatement. 5 will be in the rafters one day, a title doesn’t come to OKC without that man. Thank you Lu, we can’t wait for you to come back one day. #ThunderUp

I’ve missed a lot of things I wish I hadn’t in the last 15 months because of this injury but today is, by far, the one I wish I had been there for the most.

He has brought out the best in me as both an ally and a foe. That’s because he is THE best.

When you’re consistently that good for that long, you become undeniable.

Sami becoming WWE Champion was inevitable. He has deserved that moment for a very long time and I am so happy to see him finally get it.
