If anything can set me off into pedantic killjoy nerd mode it's the "I didn't get scared so it's not horror" mindset. That isn't how genres work, and even then, horror's borders are some of the most malleable, not restrictive!
I'm glad the agent mentioned in lrt was let go but if I can be honest, querying has been stressful for years because of unprofessional agent conduct like this. Always wondering if your query is going to be used as twitter discourse engagement fodder - again! - is humiliating.

James Baldwin: "This is the crime of which I accuse my country and my countrymen, and for which neither I nor time nor history will ever forgive them, that they have destroyed and are destroying hundreds of thousands of lives and do not know it and do not want to know it."

A huge thanks from our team, the affected bookselling Ghost, & Chris. We had such an outpouring of support yesterday, the overwhelming message and response to hate was LOVE. And if that isnโt resistance, I donโt know what is.
You all are the absolute best ๐ค
I've lived in Boston for almost all of my life and I've never seen these dudes move this fast before. Guess the only exception they make is evidence of police brutality
