Vote down a rezoning based on NIMBY BS and it would end up in court, with the developer getting a rezoning anyways, carte blanche - with all conditions thrown out the door.

Also of note, they cut the commission's recommendation by ~$30k. I'd have rather them kept the whole thing & went officially FT.

@mooreforatlanta There isn't a quorum of a board, bc most of them voluntarily resigned (not that they were overseeing anyways). Once the nominating entities submit & have new members confirmed, they will appoint a new IG (who hopefully knows & complies w/ state law). Can't just not have an IG...

BREAKING: Elleven45 Lounge will be permanently shut down after a Fulton County judge ruled it a public nuisance.

2 people were killed there in May during a deadly shooting.

Judge ruled the owner, Djibril Dafe, also cannot reopen another business on the same site.

@HowEPhil Five or six times now? But a majority of that money has went to the federally-mandated funding of new/rehabbed sewer pipes and sewer/stormwater infrastructure projects in the federal consent decree, not water supply lines.
