PTI strongly believes that political, social, and constitutional grievances must be addressed through democratic engagement, meaningful dialogue, and constitutional means,not through bans, coercion, or the use of force.

If JAAC was truly a terrorist organisation, why did the government spend months negotiating with it, signing agreements with it, implementing its demands, holding meetings with its leadership and treating it as a legitimate stakeholder until yesterday?

The strike call was given by JAAC following violation of an agreement between government and committee. JACC is comprises over the people belonging from all parties and civil society. The action committer was formed following worst kind of goverance by Peoples Party and Nawaz League.

This is the same failed model that has been used against PTI. Suppress peaceful protest, block roads, suspend communication, intimidate citizens and then call every democratic demand a threat to the state.

PTI has consistently maintained that political questions must be answered through dialogue, constitutional process and public mandate and not through bans, containers, arrests, internet shutdowns and the misuse of anti-terrorism laws.

The people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have legitimate constitutional, democratic, social and economic concerns. If there is a dispute over refugee seats, electoral representation or the powers of the Legislative Assembly, the answer lies in open debate, judicial review and political engagement instead declaring citizens’ platforms as terrorist organisations.

Kashmir is not an ordinary political matter; it is Pakistan’s national cause, a matter of our principled stand, and a symbol of the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people. As patriotic Pakistanis, we must protect this cause with wisdom, unity and responsibility. Any internal unrest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir must be handled with extreme care, because India is always looking for opportunities to distort facts, spread propaganda and weaken Pakistan’s moral and diplomatic position on Kashmir.

Therefore, the government must not create any impression that legitimate public grievances in AJK are being crushed by force. The stronger and more democratic Azad Kashmir appears, the stronger Pakistan’s case becomes before the world.

History proves that the use of force has never produced lasting political solutions. From the tragedy of East Pakistan to the continuing unrest in Balochistan, the lesson is clear that political problems require political solutions. Coercion may create temporary silence, but it deepens resentment and weakens national unity.

PTI demands that the government immediately review the proscription decision, restore communication services, protect peaceful assembly, avoid collective punishment, and begin serious dialogue with all stakeholders.

AJK must be handled with maturity and constitutional wisdom.
