@JaromirTesar Like Elder M, I wasnt sure why you brought up DAO's in response to that announcement and shared to ensure you knew they were also funded by a DAO as you left that part out.
Bold of you to assume we cant understand a nonworking business cant be saved because we dont agree w/ you
@TheRealWeb3Kat We'd need to understand how they spent their funds. They recieved just under half a million in less than a year, half of that just 4 months ago. What kind of overhead did they have? Full time staff? Really curious how their infrastructure was setup. So much detail needed.
Today the weekly Cardano Budget Committee meeting is taking place at 1300 UTC.
All are welcome to observe, listen in, and see how the work of committees happens in practice, from discussion to decision.

@dannyribar Yes literally what I said yesterday! I've always gotten out what I put into it plus the value of a plan.
Keep spreading the good word Danny! π»
@AdamRusch Oh I'd love to go pet the cute kitty but again, my expertise is outside with both hands attached! I can teach others about their awesome traits and why conservation matters.
Would be ideal if our DReps were the experts. I believe the why behind a DRep has to be more than I want to add value, more like I can add value because this is my domain of expertise.
I'd love to add value at the snow leopard exhibit at the zoo. But there's a good reason my value is added OUTSIDE their exhibit. It's not my domain of expertise π
@yutazzz Blink has made positive gains from these events, I can think of several specifically from Rare last year. Collaborations that began or firmed up there.
I have a different perspective from my experience of conferences, operating a booth and attending, as a corporate rep and as a project rep much like this. I started ~2005 thru most recent was February.
I have always gotten out of it what I have put into it.
Let me say that again, if I went just to play that's what I'd get, fun. I learned to have objectives, mostly because in my early 20s I wanted to grow. Fortune 100's also werent sending me anywhere to goof off.
I had goals like who I wanted to meet, who I was brainstorming with in person, what talks I was attending and usually had to share what I learned back at work with a team. I still have fun tho π
For anyone saying it wasnt worth it, I'm super curious what they expected and what they put into it.
I vote NO to "Rare Evo and Dev Gov Day 2026: Cardano Title Sponsorship."
I couldn't glean any information about past ecosystem outcomes from the proposal.
Similar to Cardano Summit, while it may excel as an internal event, it suffers from weak or inability to measure external ecosystem engagement.
The feedback from the communities and projects I know who attended Rare Evo and Dev Gov Day is similar to that of Cardano Summit; everyone agrees that it was a fun event with a strong gathering of Cardano community members and projects. However, a calm reflection on what the event actually accomplished and what impact it had on the ecosystem presents a difficult problem. In short, the only opinions I hear are, "It was fun, but the attendees were mostly familiar faces, and I think the return to the ecosystem was probably limited."
I previously voted "Abstain" for Cardano Summit, considering the potential external inflow effect compared to past summits, given that Singapore Token2049 was taking place nearby. However, RareEVO doesn't seem to have a comparable trigger. Therefore, I'm voting "NO."
Feedback is welcome.
@adamKDean@yeaookk@hoskytoken Perspective matters, if I looked at it from a pull request perspective whereas BL requires peer review and approval I obviously couldnt approve my own pr.
@InputEndorsers Nah. First, market is squeezing everyone. We've seen our community is scrutinizing as a result.
Then they're trying to sell to people involved and that's weird. I can say, a Marketing Dept in Corporate doesnt have to convince the majority of the office on their plans.
