The evidence is clear: low-emission zones like London’s Ulez work.
Looking at the health problems caused by air pollution, poorer communities have most to gain.

The Standard View: The right to clean air must not be delayed or denied https://t.co/DXOjZqipEs nothing about this debacle surprises me. I asked @DrGaryFuller why it took 4yrs for Clean Air Act to happen? Gov hid the evidence, 12,000 people died! It was a private members bill too

People often seem to adopt one of two approaches to systems thinking: (1) horizontal - focusing on system mapping + identifying leverage points; (2) vertical - focusing on identifying and shifting the conditions holding a system in place. I see the best systems work doing both.
Clean Air, low emission zones & #ULEZ.
Do they work, does the most polluting traffic simply divert round & which communities have most to gain? (Spoiler: gainers could also include drivers & school kids).
My latest #airpollution piece for @guardian.
