Starting in 2027, you can give $1,700 to charity & get every dollar back from the IRS
$3,400 if you're married filing jointly
The IRS just released the rules. Here's how it works:
@TheBrilliantBu1 A good reminder to run your own race. It's easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing and lose sight of your own reasons for starting.
Daily reminder for me, too. ๐
@renAsonceman Leftover Easter candy! Those pastel peanut butter eggs have to be cheaper than Halloween candy by now. We're just rebranding the holidays. ๐ฃ๐
A lot of financial progress comes from things you don't do.
The car you don't upgrade. The subscription you cancel. The purchase you sleep on. The debt you don't take on.
Sometimes, the best money move is doing nothing.
@frugalbc@MarketPalmer_ I think facing your finances means facing some uncomfortable truths. And fixing them might mean changing a lifestyle you're used to. It's easier to put it off than to make those changes, even when you know they're needed.
@Vertok55@MrsCMFrancis Their color scheme is brown. It's not inviting. It would do them wonders to revamp the marketing colors but the cost/quality is great!
Before making a big money decision, ask yourself:
If this doesn't work out, how difficult will it be to undo?
A subscription is easy to cancel. A five-year car loan isn't. A costly college decision can follow you for years.
The exit plan deserves a place in the decision.
@GrowingUpRetro I remember seeing a video where youโd go to the store counter, select a card, and have it presented to you with white gloves. The attention to detail! There was something special about making the effort to choose a card for someone. โค๏ธ
@thejohnhenry I noticed more lifestyle creep as my salary increased. Even though I was diligent with money, I let little expenses go unchecked.
Sometimes it's not the big purchases. It's the little things that quietly add up.
