Blah blah most SL elites in the government are openly supporting the separatists so trying to cover up for them will not change most people opinion. Soon or later they will join Dube !
I saw some social media folks attacking @SalahJama, Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, who is currently attending the World Economic Forum.
First of all, the WEF is an INVITE-ONLY forum — governments do not go or “send” people there; organizers invite participants and speakers.
Secondly, he is probably one of the best-suited and most articulate people this government could have had there, if it were even up to them to send someone, along with the Finance Minister @BihiEgeh, who is also getting some flak.
@KhadraDuale, our ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, is a patriot from a family of patriots, and she is also being targeted by smears.
These are fine Somalis serving their nation, and those attacking them are serving other interests and/or are useful idiots.
Calankan Somaliga mesha la keenay iyo farahan la is galgalinayo waa qayb ciyaarta GONI-Goosad ka mid ah. Maalin Hargaysa ka dago , mission gaaro maa la sugaa?

Reached Davos, Switzerland for the @WEF Annual Meeting 2026, where world leaders convene to address pressing global challenges. Grateful for the warm reception from the Somali community in Switzerland. #WEF26#Somalia
For the past 3 months, I’ve been living in Hargeisa, Somaliland.
I’ve been warned by locals that writing this could put me at risk of arrest, but I feel compelled to tell the truth.
Here's what the media is hiding about the so-called “Israeli recognition” of Somaliland…🧵
RUMP STAKE
Somaliland is an entirely fictional entity
We have a breakaway separatist clan now declaring independence. And guess the only country in the world to recognise it...Israel

No amount of external machination can break up Somalia.
Netanyahu cannot alter the destiny of forty million Somalis.
No foreign leader can.
That said, history will not be kind to those who busied themselves with distractions and allowed external machinations to reach a point where they even warranted attention.
More importantly, history has never been kind to those who worked against the interests of the Somali people. Who today remembers those who collaborated with Ethiopia, Britain, or Italy when they tried to colonize us?
No Somali remembers them. Not a single one.
But every one of the forty million Somalis knows the first names of our heroes and patriots — names like Timacadde or Sayidka — men who stood firm against external schemes and internal sabotage for over a thousand years, and who defended our sovereignty, our unity, and our soil.
In Somalia, conflicts from every corner, be it in the North, South, East, or West often seem to be pushed by a foreign power. These powers incentivize local leaders with little political or financial support, encouraging them to act in ways that prioritize their country’s interests over the well-being of the people of Somalia.
What’s particularly striking is how the public responds to these conflicts. Many cheer for their preferred factions and rally behind the various conflicts, often viewing the situation solely through the lens of clan prospectives.
This narrow focus overlooks the broader, long-term risks these conflicts pose to the country as a whole. It is not secret that foreign intervention in Somalia’s internal affairs is widely endorsed and accepted.
It is the same political mindset that destroyed Somalia in 1991- it is based on the notion that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”. The only way to move beyond this deadly environment is to foster trust and encourage open dialogue.
