@MoundLore Youngstown, OH. Read The Great Depression: A Diary. Population is now 1/3 of what it was at its peak in 1930s.
Go back far enough and I’d say Natchez, MS. One of the most important cities in the old Southwest, capital of MS before Jackson. Now it’s just another small town.
@TheStalwart@Jesse_Livermore 100% right. Don’t understand how anybody completely relies on them for output with checking. It’s most useful for that when it has links to sources that aren’t on the first page of google. But just plain text with no links. The search engines provide better answers.
@NYMag Haven’t read the story, so can’t really comment on its merit. But if the issue is the writing is “bad,” then I feel the issue is not really about ai. Think about how it won.
@usr_bin_roygbiv@pmarca What does use mean? Ask it questions? Build websites with it? Very general. Most people are just talking to it about everyday stuff.
@seandsweeney Not an expert, but this is a classic fact pattern for hundreds (maybe thousands) of fcra lawsuits filed each year. The CRAs and lenders outsource review overseas. Mostly bs review. There’s a whole industry of lawyers bringing fcra cases to fix credit and recover damages
@MarioNawfal None of this is confirmed to be true. But if you couldn’t see from Oppenheimer that Nolan films are now just a chance for all of Hollywood to make an appearance in a Nolan film, I don’t know what to tell you.
Instead of putting a moratorium on data centers, we just need to require that they all get built around Atherton / Palo Alto / Woodside / Los Altos Hills, before we start talking about building them anywhere else.
@AlexHormozi Brother, it’s never been about right or wrong answers. It’s society’s non-violent way of dealing with disputes. You can settle a dispute with someone right now using ai if you want. But I doubt anyone is doing that.
@Historianluce@nonregemesse Always been confused why people trashed it. I’m not one to defend shitty action movies. This was never that. It was good. Probably just the era - compared to braveheart, gladiator, lotr, etc.
