@ndtv@PChidambaram_IN@Vasudha156 What expansion? AAP's absence is creating major fissures for oppn unity. My Goa is the latest example. Cong could be affected in Goa due to this. Mr Chidambaram is aware of Goa, he was in-charge for last state elections.
@Suhelseth@YouTube@TimesNow@navikakumar@DrPramodPSawant@visrane My Goa is the best example of irresponsible, dirty tourism and Suhel knows it well. And if my Tourism Minister reads this he will blame me for spoiling Goa's name, although I know him well.
@kamleshsutar Kamlesh, everything well said and I agree as well. But, how about discussing patriachy in Islam and why women are missing in Muslim religious functions.
I have wanted to speak about the CJP agitation for a long time. But last two incidents have triggered me not to keep mum.
First is the statement by Neha Bora. What she said is not a slip of tongue. It is a textbook example of how savarna feminism understands justice - justice without caste. When you dismiss caste realities and reduce Ambedkarite assertion to noise, you are not being progressive, you are protecting your privilege. This is precisely why Bahujan women have always said that mainstream feminism does not speak for us. It analyses patriarchy but remains silent on Brahminical patriarchy.
And second is the CJP’s Diwali bash that we all saw. An elitist gathering of the same faces, same surnames, same South Delhi circuit. It looked less like a civil rights meeting and more like an upper-caste conglomerate celebrating itself.
This is the contradiction of the Indian Left. It wants to fight fascism but it wants to fight it without Bahujans. It wants Bahujan votes but not Bahujan leadership, Bahujan voices, and Bahujan journalists in its newsrooms and panels. The ignoring of Bahujan journalists by this Left-liberal ecosystem is not accidental, it is structural.
You cannot build a democratic movement on a savarna foundation.

@IndiaToday@ShainaNC Shaina is conveniently articulating the position of her party Shinde Sena that has opposed Ms Mirza targeting. Needless to say, if she had been in BJP she would've herself questioned locus standi of Ms Mirza.
K Natwar Singh's son was a BJP MLA and was awarded the ticket due on the request of the father to BJP top leadership. Naturally, father will praise BJP leadership. @KirenRijiju
Proud of India's strongest ever Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji.
Late Natwar Singh ji was the Foreign Minister during Congress Govt. He was very learned man too. He gave his opinion before he sadly passed away. Now, credible leaders have vanished from the Congress party.
#DiaMirza If a Muslim advises me "Beta, Sharab Buri Cheez Hai", should I question him and say "Who is he, a Muslim, to advise me?".
What is this?
A good advise should be welcomed from anyone. What has it got to do with religion?
This is typical mentality of Communal Garbage Recyclers.
@sardesairajdeep@DrSYQuraishi@syedzafarBJP@ramkadam@ShelarAshish
NOTE: The BMC pulls down actor @deespeak Dia Mirza’s eco-friendly Diwali video after protests by local BJP and Shiv Sena leaders, but retains similar videos featuring Ajinkya Rahane, Madhuri Dixit and Nishigandha Wad. So what exactly is the objection? A ‘no firecrackers’ Diwali message from the local authority, or Dia Mirza delivering it? Is religion becoming the criterion for deciding who can promote an eco-friendly Diwali? And what happened to the inclusive, cosmopolitan Mumbai we grew up and still take such pride in?
@yashoazad Agree. Well said. Someone like ex Delhi Governor Jung, Dr S Y Qureishi and others should speak. After all these are the people who speak against muslim targeting.
@TVMohandasPai Mr Pai, shame on you for being so cheap and low grade. I cannot imagine that you were once a top honcho of Infosys. Your attitude is like that of a lathe machine operator of a shed factory.
@sardesairajdeep There's an offer from BJP for a united NCP so as to be eligible for Finance Ministry in Maharashtra Govt & 2 cabinet berths at the centre. Sharad Pawar is not agreeable to the proposal.
It was a great honour to meet Dutch hockey legend Floris Jan Bovelander in person! 🇳🇱🏑
A key architect of the Netherlands’ golden era in the 1990s, Bovelander scored an incredible 215 international goals in 240 matches-a true legend of the drag flick.

Before 1956, people who spoke Kannada lived under five different rulers. One man from Bijapur spent his life trying to bring them together. On 1 November 1956 he finally saw it happen.
His name was Aluru Venkata Rao, from Bijapur.
He was born in 1880. At that time Kannada speaking land was split between the Bombay Presidency, the Madras Presidency, Hyderabad, Mysore and Kodagu.
He was a writer, historian and journalist. He joined Gandhi's movement in 1921.
He helped set up the Kannada Sahitya Parishad, pushed for Karnataka University, and started the Vijayanagara festival to remind people of their shared history.
Dharwad became the centre of the Ekikarana movement, the fight to unite all Kannada areas into one state.
On 1 November 1956 the Kannada speaking regions were finally joined together as Mysore State.
Aluru Venkata Rao was alive to see it. He went to the Virupaksha temple in Hampi and offered a pooja.
People gave him the title Karnatakada Kulapurohita.
On 1 November 1973 Mysore State was renamed Karnataka.
Happy Kannada Rajyotsava.
