India achieved a historic export milestone in FY 2025–26, with total exports reaching an all-time high of US$ 863.11 billion.
Services exports surged to US$ 421.32 billion, registering strong growth of 8.71%, while merchandise exports remained steady reflecting India’s growing global competitiveness and a resilient trade ecosystem.
Total exports (merchandise and services) climbed to US$ 863.11 billion in 2025–26, up from US$ 825.26 billion in 2024–25, reflecting a steady growth of 4.59%.

Charting the roadmap for a future-ready Indian diplomacy
Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi addressed the 11th Heads of Missions Conference, themed “Reforming Indian Diplomacy for 2047”, in New Delhi today.
Presentations were made to PM on future-ready diplomacy, promotion of the 3Ts (Trade, Technology and Tourism) and the amplification of the Bharat story. PM also heard insights from Heads of Missions, and perspectives from senior and young diplomats on strengthening India’s global engagement.
Prime Minister also shared his thoughts and ideas and provided guidance on India’s diplomatic engagement in order to achieve VIKSIT BHARAT by 2047.
Reforms are focused on expanding India’s exporter base through MSME integration, scaling up e-commerce exports and streamlining processes for faster, more efficient trade.
A KPI-based framework is enabling measurable outcomes, while closer collaboration between industry and Government is strengthening export readiness across sectors. These efforts are aimed at improving ease of doing business and unlocking new growth opportunities for Indian exporters.
