India’s seafood exports reached a record high in FY 2025–26, reflecting the growing strength, resilience and global competitiveness of the country’s marine products sector. Despite challenging global market conditions, India achieved an all-time high in both export value and volume.

Frozen shrimp continued to lead India’s seafood exports, with the United States and China remaining key destinations for Indian marine products. This record performance underscores India’s expanding presence in global seafood trade and the growing contribution of the sector to exports, livelihoods and economic growth.
