Together with the UNESCO office in Namibia, High Commission organized a curtain raiser event to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) simultaneously commemorating the UNESCO Wellness Day on Friday, 05 June 2026.

Yoga enthusiasts from UNESCO office were joined by the High Commissioner, Head of office & UNESCO Representative to Namibia Ms. Eunice Smith and United Nations Resident Coordinator Ms. Hopolang Phororo for the special Yoga session.

On this occasion, High Commissioner spoke on the importance of practice of Yoga in our daily life and also briefed on the theme of this year’s IDY - ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’.

The India-Oman CEPA enters into force today, unlocking opportunities for trade, investment and jobs, including for the youth.
