Kargil's Legacy Inspires India Forever!

The spirit of Kargil continues to guide and strengthen India. In May 1999, Operation Vijay was launched as Indian soldiers fought one of the toughest battles at nearly 18,000 feet.

On 26 July 1999, every occupied peak, including Tololing, Tiger Hill and Point 4875, was reclaimed and the Tricolour flew proudly once again.

As PM @narendramodi shared, Kargil was not just a victory in battle but a triumph of India's courage, restraint and determination. That spirit continues to inspire a stronger, self-reliant defence ecosystem and an unwavering commitment to protect every inch of India.

Today, the Union Cabinet approved the following decisions under the chairship of PM @narendramodi:

✅ A multi-tracking project worth Rs 1264 crore, covering three districts across Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh, which besides increasing the existing Indian Railways network by about 46 kms by 2028-29, will also enhance connectivity to approximately 99 villages.

✅ Scheme of Chemical Parks Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana Rasayan’ (BHAVYA Rasayan) for establishing three dedicated Chemical Parks, running from FY 2026-27 to FY 2030-31, providing a Central grant of up to Rs 1000 crore per park. The Scheme will develop the chemical industry along the entire value chain, leading to lower logistics cost.

At 11:30 AM today, Skyroot Aerospace will undertake the maiden orbital launch of Vikram-1, India’s first privately developed launch vehicle.

This four-stage rocket is designed to provide rapid and on-demand launch services. This mission highlights the talent, determination and entrepreneurial spirit of our youth. It also shows how our space-sector reforms are unlocking new opportunities for innovation and enterprise.

My best wishes to the entire Skyroot Aerospace team for a successful launch. May Vikram-1 soar high, create history and inspire a generation of innovators.
