In a landmark decision to strengthen India's energy security and reduce import dependence, the Cabinet under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi ji has approved the National Offshore Exploration Scheme – 'Samudra Manthan'.

With a financial outlay of ₹84,084 crore through FY 2030–31, the scheme aims to unlock India's offshore energy potential and is expected to catalyse reserve accretion of over 600 MMTOE.
