“I’ll quote a Finnish geopolitical strategist, Sari Arho Havrén, who last month published a paper on exactly that, using the grinding, bloody war in Ukraine, now in its 5th year, as the vector.

‘There’s a problem in how the West has come to understand this crucial relationship’, Arho Havrén wrote. China supplies Russia with the industrial goods it needs to prosecute that war.

“For more than four years, we have treated China’s support for Russia as a customs problem,” she wrote. In the war in Ukraine, “Each new disclosure—a spike in fiber-optic cable shipments, a surge in machine-tool exports, satellite imagery shared with Russian forces, and most recently the covert training of Russian servicemen at Chinese military facilities—arrives as a discrete story, generates a news cycle, and is filed away.”

“Taken individually, each stream of support can be minimized or explained away. Taken together, they describe a single, deliberate policy authorized at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party: China has become the indispensable enabler of Russia’s war effort, economically, technologically, and diplomatically, whilst calibrating every element of that support to remain below the threshold that would trigger the full weight of Western retaliation."

“We keep searching for the smoking gun, and in doing so we miss that China is supplying everything one needs to manufacture it."

A family is saying goodbye to their father, who was killed by russians.

When I watch this video, I feel an overwhelming sense of pain and injustice. And a deep call for justice. Russia must pay.

The pain russians have inflicted on Ukrainians will be felt for generations. The evil they have unleashed will never be forgotten.

The lives they have taken cannot be returned. The families they have destroyed cannot simply be made whole again.

But the crimes they have committed must not go unpunished.

There must be justice.

今年8月15日，日本政壇有一個很有意思的現象。高市早苗首相沒有親自走進靖國神社，而是採取「遙拜」，並奉納玉串料。但她周圍不少重要政治人物都去了，包括防衛大臣小泉進次郎等閣員，以及多名執政黨高層。

中國當然強烈反彈。不過觀察中國官媒和微博，會發現一件有趣的事。中國輿論並沒有把主要火力放在高市的「遙拜」，反而集中攻擊兩個人——小泉進次郎和石平。

但罵兩個人的角度完全不同。對小泉，中國抓住的是他的「防衛大臣」身分。中國媒體大量使用「拜鬼」等強烈字眼，批評一個掌管日本自衛隊的防衛大臣在8月15日參拜靖國神社。

小泉進次郎今年45歲，知名度高，又是前首相小泉純一郎之子。以他的年齡、聲望和政治資源，未來成為日本首相的可能性相當大。中國今天把他推到對立面，不斷用強烈語言攻擊他，只會讓他對中國更加警戒，也可能讓他更加重視台灣。

另一個被集中攻擊的是石平。對石平，中國用的是另一套邏輯。因為他出生於中國四川、後來歸化日本，如今又成為日本參議員，所以中國網路直接罵他「漢奸」、「數典忘祖」。「漢奸石平參拜靖國神社」這條新聞，甚至一度衝上微博熱搜第一名。

這種攻擊同樣可能適得其反。中國越罵石平，日本就有越多人知道石平；北京越制裁他、把他當成眼中釘，石平在日本保守派中的存在感反而越強。

而石平確實是一位立場非常鮮明的親台派。下個月，他還將和多名日本國會議員一起來台灣訪問、推動台日交流。

所以，從台灣的角度看，中國的反應未必是壞事。中國罵得越兇，台灣的朋友反而越來越多。

🇷🇺🇰🇵Nous n'aurions jamais dû laisser la Corée du Nord envoyer des troupes en Ukraine.

Cela aurait dû être une ligne rouge : si Pyongyang envoie des troupes, alors nous aussi.

Cette posture de faiblesse de la part de l'OTAN est insupportable. Nous avons laissé la Corée du Nord entraîner ses troupes chez nous, en Europe, à tuer des Ukrainiens. Il faut se rendre compte quand même de l'énormité de la chose, il y a 5 ans personne n'aurait pu l'imaginer.

Déjà que laisser la Corée du Nord tester ses missiles balistiques sur les villes ukrainiennes est une aberration mais le déploiement de troupes constitue une escalade certaine et intolérable. Les rumeurs selon lesquelles ils risquent d'en envoyer à nouveau devraient nous alerter sur la réponse à apporter.

L'Europe ne doit pas accepter que la pire dictature de la Terre entraîne ses troupes en Ukraine. Et si nous ne voulons pas envoyer nous-même nos soldats pour aider à défendre l'Ukraine, alors donnons-leur au moins les moyens de se défendre efficacement et levons les restrictions inutiles.

C'est un échec moral profond pour l'Europe que de laisser faire la Russie et la Corée du Nord.

The only reason the CCP got this powerful?
Democratic countries (US, EU, Japan & others) let it into the WTO and opened their markets.

They hoped engagement would change China.
Instead the CCP took the money and tech, then brought its repression straight into our own countries.

Wake up. The threat is already here.

A real leader would say: We are going to stop Russia. We will end this war & ensure they can never start another.
