Stewart A. Joyce, from #Indianapolis, became one of @CivilAirPatrol 's sub-hunters. He used his plane, a Rearwin Cloudster. CAP airplanes force U-Boats to stay submerged during the day reducing their effectiveness.
He became a teacher at @arsenal_tech and @GWContinentals.
Volunteers of @CivilAirPatrol's Indiana Wing have been serving the country since December 12, 1941. On August 1, 1942 the Wing would have its first state-wide maneuver consisting of 146 airplanes & 447 members. Some of our members would volunteer to serve as German U-Boat hunters
CAP isn’t just about flying—it’s about teamwork, inspiration, and shaping the future of young leaders. On Saturday, Capt. Michael McGregory took cadets on an incredible orientation flight: they learned about flying but also saw firsthand the power of aviation and healthcare.
Today, Indiana @CivilAirPatrol cadets are visiting parts of the Indiana state government for Paging Day. Throughout the day they have the opportunity to visit the Senate chambers, the House Chambers, and the Supreme Court. #Indiana Wing cadets visiting with Governor Mike Braun:
We are saddened to share that earlier today, a #CivilAirPatrol Cessna 182 crashed in Larimer County, Colo., while participating in a search and rescue training exercise. There was one survivor and two fatalities.

In October, 18 volunteer @CivilAirPatrol pilots provided 115 cadet orientation flights. After his flight on October 26, Cadet Airman Henry Zibutis said, "today was especially fun because I flew the Cessna 172, Skyhawk. I never thought I would fly a plane at 12 years old."

“At the age of 12, soloing seemed like an impossible goal, but with the guidance of my mentors in @CivilAirPatrol, the goal I once saw as impossible became a reality," said Cadet Maj. Issac Garcia. Last week he flew his 1st solo flight in a Cessna 172.
Congratulations! #GoFlyCAP
