The Nirbhaya incident happened under Sheila Dikshit’s government. At the Centre there was the UPA government and Pranab Mukherjee was Finance Minister. Abhijit Mukherjee, son of Pranab da, made a vulgar comment about the women who came out on Delhi’s streets seeking justice for Nirbhaya. He said those women were a “dented and painted gang.” When this reached Pranab da, he scolded Abhijit for a full hour. How could you give such a statement about the country’s women? After Pranab da, sister Sharmistha also rebuked Abhijit. Abhijit came forward and apologized to the people of the country through the media. An ideal father thinks above any party or position. Not compromising on children’s sanskars is the culture of Indian families. Lal Bahadur Shastri and Atalji also demonstrated this in the past when workers crossed limits.
Vulgar parody will give people two hours of entertainment, but it will not benefit you at all. Yes, damage will certainly be done, and that too long-term. Because there are some things this country does not forget. In the Mahabharata of Ved Vyasa there is no incident of Draupadi calling Duryodhana “the blind son of a blind man” in the palace of illusions. That episode was invented in plays served for entertainment. Yet a large section of the country believes that Draupadi’s remark was the cause of the Kurukshetra war. Rahulji, the man who climbed the stage with you can say any nonsense through cheap imitation of Kunal Kamra for a shortcut to cheap publicity; you either do not have the ability to distance yourself from it, or all this is happening deliberately under your watch. But gambling with one’s own prestige is a very risky experiment in politics. Which you are doing every day .
