"Scientifically literate people, remember, were more likely to be polarised in their answers to politically charged scientific questions. But scientifically curious people were not.
*** Curiosity brought people together in a way that mere facts did not. *** "
A talk about why I think curiosity is important, and how that links to my interest in the Metaverse.
Links in the next tweet because apparently that is the algo hell we live in here now.
@indiebio@vworldsmuseum I love VW because I meet interesting people & dream up amazing creations. ie. In Horizon Worlds I created the world "Surreal Chess Dreams"=looks like a #chess dream from Salvador Dali. Also, created a world called "Chess at Mirabeau Park" and it's a digital twin of a IRL park

I love virtual worlds because I can build massive koi ponds and play with the fish without ever needing to clean the pond or worry that the fish don't particularly like being played with.

How about you?
I am now accepting new integration/interop opportunities.
This includes: integration designs, risk management, data schema translations, etc, ... for virtual worlds, gaming, music industry, medical, etc.
New mirror post: I dive into progress @open_metaverse glTF extensions group is making for helping define interoperable standards for 3D formats, + ideas for a virtual festival inspired by burning man / float parades

@thedowd@kentbye@dankvr Old person example ;) During the pandemic, zoom meetings was OK for one-on-one, but families couldn't really, say, celebrate christmas on zoom. It is stilted, only one can talk at a time, The overlapping buzz of conversations weren't possible.
@thedowd@kentbye@dankvr Agreed. I think dogfooding and the forcedness of it needs a reflection on what needs are being met, what not, and what needs are we missing altogether, that we're not meeting because we don't even know they're needs.
