@aNichiporchik @gutsdestroyyou @survivetheark @SnailGamesUSA From what I gather, Donkey Crew had to sell most of their equity to Snail to fund the development of Last Oasis, and it became a net loss after a couple years. Their pivot to Bellwright was a good one; kept the combat mechanics but a sandbox, medieval 1P/Co-op game.

With a mandate to make profit, I'd think reach would've been a priority from the get go.
