@TheCartelDel@thirdbday Not least because we just don’t know how policies will change over time. Some LLMs could be rugpulled (see Fable 5), some companies may have very specific AI policies which means the harness/tool you might be familiar with is not on the table.
@sidrenders@IsThisA3DModel Blender wasn’t perfect but whatever tools it had in place could be used with some control, enough control that makes art possible.
Not enough control cannot make art possible. I don’t mean that there should be no room for happy mistakes, that’s also central to creativity.
@sidrenders@IsThisA3DModel The “it’s just a tool” argument collapses, imo, when it comes to control.
The lack of control in Gen AI, for now at least, bars it from being “just a tool”.
In fact that’s what promoted me to want to learn blender. Because I felt like a fraud when initially playing with Gen AI.
@DoctorLemma Y’all got it wrong on this thread.
It is staged. The horse is purposely walking backwards. The car driving past also did the same (driving in reverse gear).
Then they reverse played the video.
@Ryvnhll For what it’s worth, I specifically bought Lords of Fallen after it got to a state of being much improved to support a hard working committed dev team.
@wiimee@Ronald_vanLoon@mog_russEN AI bros farming engagement is really tedious with known gen AI but omitting they know it is. It’s not helping the AI cause whatsoever.
@DM_Arts_@DehFanBoy_ I also didn’t think it was AI. I could tell it was legit Blender work. But it does have that “AI” look for some reason. Possibly the colour palette. I think it looks awesome though. Keep up the good work 👍
