Just a sometimes #writer playing with Twitter and a soon to be retired school #librarian who buys books. "Yes," this is going to be my pen name, someday.
@CityOfGoleta Don’t forget to add that penny on the dollar translates into about $600 a year and that it’s a forever tax. Oh, and the money is earmarked for whatever the corrupt @CityofGoleta Council wants to spend it on, including giving themselves pay raises.

Being a #librarian is often lonely work but I have a friend here now for the rest of the month, yay. Meet Valentina. She is excellent company but terrible at making cups of tea.
This week, I’m thinning young adult novels which no teenagers have ever bothered checking out. Five years is the expiration date. It’s amazing how constantly off target the publishing world can be. I should be a consultant 😆 #librarian
If you have #TitleWave up and are adding books to the next purchase list as you go through #ALAMW2021 sessions and are introduced to amazing new books coming out...you might be a #Librarian 😂
Today, I’m reviewing early readers. Tomorrow middle school, maybe some YA. I’m kind of in the mood for some “bring on the dragons” fantasy escapist stuff... Maybe over the weekend I’ll get to it. #librarian
We are going to fight for educators and students.
That means hiring more counselors and school nurses.
That means paying educators what they're worth.
That means protecting the right to organize.
A love of reading is infectious! I love sharing my joy for books with students in the library. Reading to them is powerful, as is ensuring the library is a welcoming and inspiring place to be!
