I was just in Mumbai, and I have to give them credit for the progress they’re making on infrastructure. The new Aqua Line metro is phenomenal. But the amount of work India still has to do on basic cleanliness and sanitation and it is hard to understand until you see it yourself. Would love for more westerners to go just to understand how wealthy they are, but that's a different point.

Mumbai is completely surrounded by water, yet there are almost no places where people can actually enjoy the water. The beaches are filled with trash, the water is badly contaminated, and almost nobody swims, even when it’s brutally hot outside. Walking on the beach is just mud and trash meeting filthy water on the horizon.

There are much poorer places around the world where people can still use the beaches. This is not just about money. India has gone decades without adequate trash collection, sewage treatment, or enforcement for a population of more than a billion people. At this point, the scale of the problem feels almost impossible, and the oceans around the world are paying the price for Indias garbage output as well.

I like the direction Modi is taking the country, but India needs to treat cleanup like a national emergency. Stop with the small campaigns and organize a full scale blitz.

Offer unemployed people paid work picking up trash, clearing drains and waterways, cleaning beaches, and maintaining public spaces. Give them proper equipment and supervision. Then build the collection and waste processing systems needed to stop everything from becoming filthy again a week later.

India has shown that it can build metros, airports, highways, and digital infrastructure. Clean streets and usable water should be treated as infrastructure too.

Mumbai should have one of the greatest waterfronts in the world. Instead, it's has basically an irrelevant feature of the city and feels surrendered to sewage and garbage.

Ask all your volunteers to form groups of 2 all across states.
Ask them to visit schools which are allocated to them, inspect after getting permission respectfully

Prepare a report on the status on the ground by Taluk and give it to the state government

Then demand change armed with full data.
Publish a quarterly report and talk to citizens.
Now you have data on your side and citizens will respect you for your work. You will know which state is behind.
Understand the scale of the issue. India’s school system has around 18 lakh schools, 24 cr children upto class 12, 1.3 cr faculty and staff, 50% children in govt schools and declining.

This is public service If you are true and want change do this

Not leading a mob to a school, abusing people, threatening teachers and acting high and mighty.

I have no doubt about Starlink as technology. But the math here does not add up.

This tweet is arguing India has "waited far too long" and needs Starlink cleared for commercial launch immediately, citing real gaps: 11,256 villages without 4G, rural internet density stuck at 48 per 100 people versus 127 in cities, BharatNet fibre sitting unused in 1000s of villages.

The gaps cited are real. The prescription does not survive the math...

- Starlink hardware in India: ₹30K-35K upfront.
- Monthly plans: ₹3,000 - ₹8,600.

Compare that to existing plans by Jio/Airtel/others: ₹399-3,999/month, zero comparable hardware cost, speeds up to 1 Gbps while Starlink tops out at 25-225 Mbps.

That is roughly 10x the price for a fraction of the speed. For the exact rural, low-income households this pitch claims to serve, that is a product priced entirely out of their reach.

Even if every regulatory light turns green tomorrow, India's own govt has capped Starlink at 20 lakh connections nationally. Set that against the 11,256 unserved villages and 44+ crore rural internet subscribers cited in the same post, 20 lakh premium-priced connections is not a village-scale fix.

Also understand this:

- BharatNet has laid 8.5+ lakh route-km of fibre and made ~2.21 lakh Gram Panchayats service-ready.

- The fibre is already sitting in the ground in most of these villages. The real gap is that only 80,472 of those Gram Panchayats have an operational Point of Presence.

That is a last-mile activation and governance problem solvable with execution, not with a satellite dish that costs more than most rural families' monthly income.

Satellite internet has a real, narrow role: remote islands, high Himalayan outposts, disaster zones, ships, places fibre will never reach economically.

But "India needs Starlink for its villages" does not survive contact with its own price tag and its own government-imposed cap. What India actually needs is to finish activating the fibre it's already 96% laid, cheaper, faster, and it will reach more people than any satellite dish priced at ₹8,600 a month ever will.
